ハーバード大学デザイン大学院と同ビジネス・スクール、MITで共に学んだメンバーを中心に誕生したKUROFUNE Design Holdings 株式会社（本社：東京都港区、代表取締役：上田 真路）は、「住まい」と「学び」が一体化した最適な住空間、教育空間のデザインを目指し、次世代のグローバル人材となる若手がともに暮らす国際学生寮”U Share 西早稲田”を2021年4月に東京都西早稲田にオープンします。
KUROFUNE Design Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Masamichi Ueta) started from members who studied together at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Harvard business school, and MIT. In April 2021, the international student dormitory “U Share Nishi Waseda” that aims to design an optimal living environment that integrates living space and learning space, in which students, the next generation of global talents, can live together, will start its operation.
多様な人々、価値観に触れることができるだけでなく、各々の取り組みや夢を「シェア」する機会を日常的に生み出す環境のデザイン（＝場づくり）を創造しています。中長期的には、世界的視座を持ち、多様性を尊重し、社会問題の解決に取り組んでいく真のグローバル人材育成（＝人づくり）に取り組むことで、多様な人々が生き生きする社会づくりに貢献して参ります。 尚、当施設は、国際学生寮「U Share」初のフラッグシップとなります。今後は大学や周辺地域との連携も行い、国内だけでなく海外への展開も目指しています。
We are creating a space design that not only allows residents to discover diverse values and people, but also creates opportunities to “share” their own initiatives and dreams on a daily basis. Our long-term goal is to create a society where diverse people can thrive, which we aim to accomplish through nurturing global talents who have a global perspective, respect diversity, and work towards solving social problems.
This will be the first flagship of the international student dormitory “U Share”. In the future, we will collaborate with universities and surrounding areas, aiming to expand not only in Japan but also overseas.

Share 西早稲田は、多様な学生が共に住まい、共に学び、共に成長するための国際学生寮です。 早稲田大学から徒歩圏内に位置し、近隣には緑豊かな公園、古くから続く飲食店、古本屋や銭湯、スーパーやジムといった都市のアメニティが集積しています。U Share 西早稲田は単なる学生寮としてのみならず、まちに開かれ、地域との新たな繋がりを創出する起点としても機能します。人と人、人とまちの有機的な繋がりの創出を通じ、活気溢れる、また土地の記憶の豊かな早稲田の街に新たな彩りを添えていきます。
U Share Nishi Waseda is an international student dormitory where diverse students can live together, and grow together.
Located within walking distance from Waseda University, there are many amenities such as parks, long-lived restaurants, second-hand bookstores and public baths, supermarkets and gyms. U Share Nishi Waseda is not only a student dormitory, but also a node for creating new connections with the local community.
Through the creation of organic connections between people, we will add a new color to the vibrant and memorable Waseda city.
本施設の企画、設計、運営にはKUROFUNE Design Holdings創業者の英米での「住まい手」としてのレジデンシャル・エデュケーションの原体験、また「つくり手」として大学キャンパスや学生寮の企画、設計、開発に携わる中で得られた知見が散りばめられています。 住まいや時間の”share”を通じてお互いを理解し、刺激を与え合い、学び合い、ともに人として成長していく。そんな”share”の正の連鎖が日常的に起きるような場づくりを目指します。
In the planning, designing and the operation of U Share, the experience that the founder of KUROFUNE Design Holdings has gone through as a “resident” in the United Kingdom and the United States, and the knowledge they gained through engaging in planning & design, and development, is fully utilized.
Through “sharing” space and time, we understand each other, inspire each other, learn from each other, and grow together. We aim to create a place where such a positive cycle of “share” occurs, on a daily basis.

U Share 西早稲田は単なる空間のデザインを超え、住まう人の成長や経験をデザインすることに徹底的にこだわります。具体的にはプライベート空間、共用空間の最適なミックスを通じ、入居者の交流と成長を促す建築・空間デザインを目指します。 また、企画、デザイン、不動産計画、投資計画、運営までを一気通貫で行うことで、一貫したブランド構築、入居者の居住体験の最大化を目指します
U Share goes beyond mere space design and is thoroughly committed to designing the growth and experience of the residents. Specifically, we aim to design architecture and space that promotes interaction and growth of residents through the optimal mix of private and shared areas.
In addition, we aim to build a consistent brand and maximize the resident’s living experience by conducting planning, design, real estate planning, investment planning, and operation all at once, by ourselves.
English-based Living Learning Environment – 英語を基軸とした多言語の住環境
U Share 西早稲田では英語でのコミュニケーションが原則となります。言語的なバリアを乗り越え、自分の夢や取り組みをシェアできる人材に育ってもらえるよう、英語を基軸としつつも多言語の住環境を作り込みます。 Movie NightやCooking Event、Cocktail Nightなどのイベントを通じ、世界中から集まった多様な学生同士が日常的に交流することで、高度なコミュニケーション力、言語力や世界的視座、多様性を理解・尊重する姿勢を育みます。
In principle, U Share’s common language will be in English. We will create a multilingual living environment based on English, in order to encourage residents to become global talents who have overcome linguistic barriers and are capable of sharing their dreams and efforts in English.
Through events such as Movie Night, Cooking Event, and Cocktail Night, diverse students from all over the world interact with each other on a daily basis to foster advanced communication skills, language skills, a global perspective, and an understanding and respect toward diversity.
