Resident’s Voice #12 – Morgan Taylor –

入居者インタビュー #12: Morgan Taylorさん

Introducing one of our residents, Morgan Taylor who is currently an exchange student at Rikkyo University.

Originally hailing from Scotland and having embraced the Aussie lifestyle for the past seven years, my journey recently led me to the captivating shores of Japan. The warmth and helpfulness of this country, coupled with the immense support I received during my transition from U Share, my university, and newfound friends, made Japan one of the easiest and most welcoming places to navigate.

My current chapter involves delving into the world of International Business and Marketing at Rikkyo University while contributing my skills to U Share as an intern at Kurofune Designs.

Being part of the U Share community has been a transformative experience. For me its not just a living space; it’s a thriving nexus where friendships flourish, and global networks take root. As I reflect on the past month, I’m immensely grateful for the rewarding experiences and eagerly look forward to the growth and learning opportunities that await with this exceptional group of individuals.

Amidst the dynamic tapestry of my memories, casual dinners and rooftop hangouts stand out as some of the most cherished moments. There’s a magical quality to sharing snacks, laughter, and stories against the enchanting backdrop of Tokyo’s beautiful cityscape, reminding me of the privilege it is to be part of such a vibrant community.

U Share’s strategic location has made navigating Tokyo a breeze, allowing me to effortlessly explore various vibrant neighborhoods like Harajuku, Asakusa, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and more. Among the many highlights of my time in Japan, indulging in its culinary wonders has been a true delight. Tsukiji Fish Market stands out as a personal favorite in Tokyo, offering an immersive experience in fresh seafood and local flavors. From savoring the exquisite taste of sashimi to enjoying the rich flavors of yakiniku and comforting curry udon, each culinary adventure has added a delicious layer to my experience in this remarkable country.
