Celebrating Goodbyes and New Beginnings: U Share Farewell Dinner

U Share送別パーティー 〜卒業、それぞれの未来へ。〜

On March 2, we hosted our Farewell Dinner at A&A Cafe Dining Waseda, bringing together residents for a heartfelt evening of connection, reflection, and celebration.

Honoring Transitions

March is a time of change—a season of parting and new beginnings. This dinner was a chance to say goodbye to residents who are graduating or moving on to new chapters in their lives. Among the 10 attendees were those heading off to graduate school, returning to their home countries for work, or beginning careers at leading Japanese companies. For example, one resident shared their plans to return to the Philippines to work for a travel agency specializing in bringing tourists to Japan, while another will begin their career at a major Japanese human resources firm. As we heard their stories and future plans, we were reminded of the diverse paths U Share residents take after their time here.

Moments of Joy and Connection

The evening was not just about farewells—it was a celebration of the relationships we’ve built. Each participant shared a personal reflection on their most memorable experience at U Share, and many spoke about how daily discoveries and the supportive environment helped them grow in confidence. It was inspiring to hear how living at U Share became a source of personal transformation for so many.

Between bites of delicious food, we played a lively bingo game that brought out laughter and smiles across the room. The prize—a Starbucks gift card—went to one of the graduates, who was thrilled to win and receive this token of appreciation from the community.

We reserved half of the A&A Cafe Dining Waseda for the event, which provided a warm and lively atmosphere perfect for the occasion. With a full dinner and all-you-can-drink service, the space was filled with the sounds of cheerful conversation and heartfelt goodbyes.

U Share is a place where residents from different backgrounds and cultures form bonds that extend beyond the walls of the dormitory. Events like these highlight the heart of our community: a space where everyone belongs, is celebrated, and is supported in their journey.

A Lasting Impression

As we closed the night, it was clear that this wasn’t just a goodbye—it was a promise to carry forward the spirit of U Share wherever life leads us next.

Whether you’re just starting your university life in Tokyo or looking for a place where you can be part of a global, caring community, U Share is more than housing—it’s a home.

We look forward to welcoming new residents, celebrating milestones, and continuing to build a space where meaningful experiences unfold.

More memorable moments await at U Share—come be part of them.
